Air Quality

Controlling and reducing pollution in the indoor environment and regular monitoring of the ambient air quality conditions are an important aspect of protecting community health and wellbeing. The Air Quality Program works to identify, monitor, and address sources of air quality pollution to ensure that our Tribal community receives the benefits of the highest air quality.

Air Quality Focus Areas

  • Indoor Air Quality Assessments

    This focus area uses state-of-the-art sensors and equipment to conduct a holistic assessment of air quality contaminants and their sources within Tribal members’ homes.

  • Ambient Air Quality Monitoring

    This focus area will concentrate on data collection to assess air quality, identify trends, and inform decision-making to protect human health and the environment. Projects will utilize a network of strategically-placed monitoring stations located throughout the community to continuously monitor for air contaminants.
