Climate Adaptation

From the bluffs overlooking Trinidad Bay down to the water's edge, our ancestral lands have always sustained our Tribe. Climate change is threatening this legacy, placing our community at the forefront of its impacts, such as sea level rise, coastal erosion, and landslides. Our Climate Program addresses the immediate and worsening impacts of climate change by undertaking projects that will enhance the Tribe’s capacity to prepare for, recover from, and adapt to the impacts of climate change. We support initiatives to improve regional resiliency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Vision

To ensure the longevity and resiliency of our natural environment and our Tribal community as our local and global climate changes.

Mission

We are committed to planning and implementing sustainability practices, promoting environmental stewardship, and developing engineering solutions and policies to address the local and global impacts of climate change.
