Victim Services
The Trinidad Rancheria Victim Services Program is a voluntary service that provides short term assistance to Community Members who have been harmed physically or emotionally by acts of crime. Our staff strives to be a culture and trauma informed agency.
Eligibility: In order for a person to be eligible for services they (1) must have been harmed, physically or emotionally, by the criminal act of a perpetrator(s) and (2) completed all intake forms and (3) reside or plan on residing in Humboldt County. Crimes may have occurred at any point in the individual’s lifetime.

Services
We provide a variety of emergency, short term services including:

Direct Assistance is a variety of temporary short term services. Community Members must complete all intake paperwork and meet with a Victim Advocate or Social Worker to create a case plan before receiving any Direct Assistance. Direct Assistance includes:
•Transportation assistance
• Emergency food
• Emergency shelter
• Emergency clothes
• Emergency supplies

The Victim Services Program is proud to be able to offer on-site laundry and shower facilities. These services are for Community Members who are participating in the Victim Services Program and have a current case plan with the Victim Advocate or Social Worker, and demonstrate a need for it.

For Community Members who need Information and Referral services, we are able to offer advocacy and accompaniment. This includes but is not limited to: court, school, and personal advocacy and accompaniment, referrals to other Tribal and/or community services, emotional support and safety planning.
