Melissa Norwood

Melissa graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. Melissa joined the Social Services team in March of 2021 as a ICWA Tribal Social Worker, and transitioned to Mental Health Clinician in October of 2023. Melissa’s approach to working with community members is relational and with humility. Melissa uses a strengths based and trauma informed approach working with survivors of abuse through guiding and supporting them throughout their healing journey.
