Elder Social Worker
Miyiosha Lynn Aubrey (Mimi) is the Trinidad Rancheria Elder Social Worker for the Elder Program. She has been employed by the Trinidad Rancheria since 2022. Mimi works directly with Tribal Programs and Social Services. She handles the day to day operations for the Elder Program. She assists elders that are 60 yrs. or older to navigate the different challenges of keeping our elders safe in the community and in their homes. She helps navigate the resources that are available for our elders in Humboldt County. She has experience working with elders for over 20 years. She has a passion for elder care and she understands how important it is for our elders to be an active member of the community. She believes in the Elder Program's purpose, which is to bridge the gap between services provided by outside agencies that our elders often lack access to, while delivering culturally responsive programming, services and care. She holds our guiding principles that is with faith in the Creator that we undertake these tasks and it shall be with a spirit of respect and cooperation that we reach these goals.
