For the past 30 years, I have had the honor of providing leadership, visionary direction, and management for Native Nations in California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada, to restore and protect their local environment, including air, land, and marine resources. I build capacity of water and waste systems, deliver alternative energy solutions, and advance ocean health and climate change adaptation measures to improve the resiliency and wellbeing of Tribes and their ancestral environments. As a descendent of the Yurok people, I have been deeply engaged in cultural practices centering marine resources since childhood, such as subsistence fishing.
